Paper Submission

Submit Your Paper

ISIE 2023 will use the new IES paper submission system. Please read the submission instructions below. Paper format and templates are also found further down the page.

Paper submission site instructions:

  • You will need to register in order to use the system.
  • After registering, wait for the confirmation email and verify your email address.
  • If you don't get the confirmation email or have some problem with your submission, please contact conferences@ieee-ies.org.
  • When submitting papers in the submission system, please select the correct track:
    • TT01 ... TT13 – technical tracks (regular papers)
    • WIP TT01 … WIP TT13 – technical tracks (work-in-progress papers)
    • SS01 … SS14 – special sessions (regular papers)
    • WIP SS01 … WIP SS14 – special sessions (work-in-progress papers)

Papers are solicited for regular technical tracks and special session tracks as Regular papers and Work in progress (WIP) papers.

WIP papers provide the opportunity to share early-stage research work that have not yet produced the full results to the community. WIP submissions that showcase only ideas without supporting results will not be accepted. Accepted and registered WiP papers will be published in the conference proceedings and in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library similarly to Regular papers.

Please note: The Regular papers are limited to six (6) pages of A4 or letter format. Additional two (2) pages can be included for an extra fee. WIP papers follow the regular paper submission guidelines, with a shorter limit of four (4) pages.

Paper templates and instructions

Prospective authors are invited to electronically submit full regular papers of their work using the link above. English is the working language of the conference. Regular and Special Session papers are limited to six (6) pages of A4 or letter format. Additional two (2) pages can be included for an extra fee. Work in progress (WIP) papers are strictly limited to four (4) pages. WIP Submissions that showcase only ideas without supporting results will not be accepted.

Authors must adhere to the IEEE Conference paper format. Draft version of papers should be submitted for review before the submission deadline.

IEEE is strict about the requirements for PDF files for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore® Digital Library. It is strongly recommended to use the set of templates in MS Word and LaTeX formats provided by IEEE. Please use them to create your paper, without modifying the style or format. To learn more about formatting of papers for IEEE IES conferences, please visit this page. We will be checking pdf compliance internally through our software.

Please make sure that only original work is being submitted (not previously published/copyrighted). The conference will be using the CrossCheck automated screening system to verify the originality of papers. IEEE takes disciplinary actions when violations are detected.

Accepted papers must be presented at the conference. The final manuscript must be accompanied by a registration form and a full registration fee payment proof. Accepted papers duly presented during the conference will be submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore® Digital Library and EI Compendex database.

Before submission, please familiarise yourself with the following IEEE authorship guidelines and policies:

IEEE PDF eXpress and Copy Right Requirements

You need to submit the final version of your paper, with the modifications requested by the reviewers. Once you have done so, you will have a new option in the submission system labelled "sign IEEE copyright," which will take you to IEEE eCF site, where you will be able to transfer copyright to IEEE. Do not add any copyright notice in the bottom margin of your first page. The correct copyright notice will be added by the post-production team..

If your IEEE Template contains a copyright notice in the bottom margin, please remove it before you create a PDF. The margin should be kept empty so that the copyright notice can be added during the post-production.

Proofread your source document thoroughly to confirm that it will require no revision.
