Reach Helsinki by plane

It is easy to come to Finland and Helsinki/Espoo! Helsinki can be reached by plane smoothly from everywhere. There are several straight flight connections from all over the world. Helsinki Airport consistently ranks among the best airports in the world and serves around 350 flights a day to locations around the world, including 25 direct flights a week to China. Helsinki serves direct flights to 140 destinations. The airport is located 22km from Aalto University campus and 18 km from downtown Helsinki. A frequent train link connects the airport to downtown Helsinki (Helsinki Central Station) Helsinki Central Station in about 35 minutes (more information about local transport on our conference venue page). Reach Helsinki by ferry

There are daily ferry services to Helsinki from Tallinn, Estonia by Tallink Silja Line, Viking Line, and Eckerö Line.

From Stockholm, Sweden by Tallink Silja Line and  Viking Line.

Helsinki can also be reached by ferry from Germany by Finnlines.

All the ferry companies also offer the possibility to take a car with you. Information on the different passenger terminals can be found on the Port of Helsinki website

Reach Helsinki by train

There are excellent train connections [linkki tähän] to Helsinki from all major towns in Finland as well as Lapland. There is also a daily train service from St. Petersburg and Moscow in Russia. The Central Railway Station is located in the centre of the city, and is a landmark of Helsinki in itself
